Photos 1, 2, 9, and 10 are examples of loop lighting. The light is placed less than 45 degrees to the left of the direction the subject is facing.
Photos 3, 6, and 8 are examples of Rembrandt lighting. The light is placed about 45 degrees from where the subject is facing to create a triangle of light on the opposite cheek.
Photo 4 is flat lighting. The subject is directly facing the light.
Photo 5 is split lighting. The light is directly to the subject's left, illuminating half the face.
Photo 7 is short lighting. The subject faces slightly to the right of the light on their left, so the smaller part of her face shown (or "short" side) is better lit than the broad.
